(Éa)dóchas

(Éa)dóchas is a body of painted works exploring themes of hope and despair, care and collapse in contemporary Ireland. These paintings form a fragmented narrative, exploring the artist’s personal anxieties and discomfort with the world she inhabits during an era of environmental, structural, and systemic collapse. The works draw on memories and observations of communities in both Dublin and Connemara, juxtaposing rural and urban landscapes.

Presented bilingually, the works develop the idea that hope and despair are often two sides of the same coin, investigating quiet moments of discomfort alongside moments of hope. (Éa)dóchas is grounded in the belief that community care and connection are vital during a time of increasing political and ecological destruction.
