This story does not follow much logic and could perhaps be regarded as a fairy tale. It is a story about a witch who lives in a tree. Its starting point was a simple image: a boat in a tree.

Using prompts from the project based on character design — guinea pig, witch, forest keeper — the witch Loti was born. In my initial conception, the work would only depict her life in the tree. However, I eventually found a story because my barren imagination could only think of the trivial aspects of life, and that alone did not feel worth telling.

In this story, the witch Loti is waiting for a friend. When the friend does not arrive, she takes action.

Life in a tree sounds interesting, but I think it is better to stop at the surface. Simply showing the image I want — like a fairy tale without depth — is enough for me.
