Forgotten Letters

Do you remember the usual spot?

The one with those friends and that guy behind the bar? It doesn’t exist anymore, does it? At least not without the people who made it what it was.

Forgotten Letters explores the spirits of shared spaces through printed ephemera surrounding a ghost town’s forgotten post box and the letters and memories it contains. Inviting interaction and giving space to quietly reflect on those transient places you can’t return to, while looking forward to returning to your current usual spots.

The book follows a postman’s route, as he spins through the memories of the letters’ writers. This dance macabre is illustrated through large charcoal drawings, evocative of the impermanence of our changing relationships. The post box invites viewers to stamp and post letters to their own forgotten locals.

So, see you at the usual spot?
