Nature the Designer
This body of work explores a tactile dialogue between land, labour and memory through sculpture and textiles rooted in organic materials and inherited processes. Bog-oak brooms, natural dyed fabrics, and woven forms of shell, jute, and twigs evoke traditional crafts, ecology, and the rhythm of the practice
of gathering, binding, and repetition. Inspired by nature as a supreme designer, adaptive, intricate, and purposeful, the work draws from the humble beauty of everyday forms.
