Keelan Keohane

Vidya

Keelan Keohane is a multidisciplinary artist based in Dublin whose practice explores the intersections of internet culture, mental health, and contemporary social life. Working across performance, game development, digital media, and installation, their work draws directly from fringe online spaces and the communities that inhabit them. Rather than observing these environments from a distance, Keohane engages with them from within, adopting the language, humour, and memetic structures native to internet subcultures in order to critically examine how identity, ideology, and communication are shaped online.

Their graduate project, Vidya (2026), is a live performance work centred on a self-developed video game streamed in character as “FoidDestroyer97”. Through this constructed online persona, the piece investigates the erosion of meaningful communication in digital spaces, the performative nature of online identity, and the rapid circulation and distortion of ideas within networked culture.
