Fragments of Tides
Fragments of Tides is a jewellery collection exploring the quiet, transient language of the Irish shoreline, where shifting shapes and tides leave behind fragments that often go unnoticed. This work emerges from site visits to coastal locations such as Killiney and White Rock Beach, where I observed and documented my research.
My practice focuses on translating and replicating the abstract textures, colours, shapes, and tactile qualities of the shore. The pieces are constructed as small collaged compositions that combine multiple processes and surface treatments, such as forging, etching, and anodising.
This collection considers how value can be found within the overlooked, inviting the viewer to pause and engage with the subtle details of the Irish coast.
