Getcha Back
Getcha Back explores the overlooked qualities within the automobile world. From the unique configuration of taillights to the flamboyant visuals and slogans found in past advertising, I reinvent them through distortion, engraving, drawing, and print.
The engraving is a large feature of my work. Beyond its visual effect, it also creates a sense of permanence as I intend for these images, objects, and texts to remain uncovered and remembered.
The vast range of inspiration within the automobile world including, visual craftsmanship and advertisements, drives my work, and I hope to continue to expand upon it through surface manipulation, scanning, printing, and drawing.
