Seeing Subtlety
To be the observer, a lot can be revealed by the subtlety of others actions or words. The quiet choices we make reveal the common humanity of life's experiences and their individual qualities. The work captures these moments and creates a physical embodiment of these interactions through exploring the body and the marks we make. The traces we leave behind, or the quietly noticed moments between people, can hold as much significance as the jewellery we wear. Through a forensic perspective, and using my own fingerprints etched into pieces the observer, looks deeper into my collection and sees the subtle. Seeing Subtlety encourages the viewer to investigate what exists beneath the surface and between the lines.
