Ireland's west coast is breathtaking, untouched and wild. Its unpredictability is one of the things that makes it so exciting and what draws myself and many to surf here. That same unpredictability however brings the dangers of the sea. Current water safety systems cannot keep up with ever-changing beach conditions but local knowledge can. Surf Safe gives surfers, surf schools and coastal communities a platform to share up-to-date, beach-specific hazard information. Working with these communities taught me about surfers' fears, their needs, and how communities come together around water-safety.

As a designer, I've always made art for people in my life. I'm so grateful and excited to continue doing that for others in the future.
