Metaphorical Architecture
Designed for stakeholders across the fashion ecosystem, this project serves as a strategic diagnostic tool for designers, educators, and industry leaders navigating the complexities of circularity. By utilising the Katonah "Body as an Adode: 9 Room" framework, the work translates abstract theory into a spatial metaphor, mapping the entire value chain— from material extraction and digital integration to reverse logistics— into a cohesive architectural structure.
While the transition to a circular economy is often hindered by a fragmented supply chain, this approach merges established frameworks into a unified strategy. It allows designers to visualise a product's journey and understand how every systemic connection functions in unison. Refined through iterative workshops and participant testing, the final outcome culminates in an intricate pop-up book. This tactile piece of paper engineering simplifies complex global systems into a three-dimensional visual narrative, allowing practitioners to evaluate their entire process from a holistic perspective.
