In response to the growing sentiment of young Irish adults to emigrate, this womenswear line combines modern femininity and practicality. It aims to push the purpose of our wardrobe, exploring the intersection of style and functionality, in the context of modern day globalisation and migration.
This collection aims to free the wearer from the limits of two hands, 23kg, the strength of a cardboard box. Embracing clothes as a vessel, it strives to expand what we can take with us past the limits of necessity. It is for the conscious consumer, who doesn’t desire to “start anew” somewhere else.
The clothes are built to last through the physical durability of the repurposed fabrics. Subtle nods to “home” through surface design bring sentimental value to each piece. Modular design offers multi-wear pieces which will last through the seasons and spaces of the wearer’s life.
