I Met a Girl on the Way

My work explores the flowing and twisting transitions between girl adolescence and adulthood. At times gentle and unnoticed as it comes, and at others fought and pushed away. Expressed through nostalgic sigils of childhood and femininity, as well as through the exploration of the intensity of this community of girls. Expressive, layered, and textural marks form figures and scenes cut from bedrooms and bathrooms. Gestures are both rough and bold and affectionately delicate.
