Eons / Ions / Us: Asymmetries of Time Across Scales
Healy is a visual artist and art director whose work explores the human impulse to understand what resists comprehension. Positioned between geological and quantum timescales, her practice indexes humanity’s fleeting place within imperceptible systems. We are momentary pulses against tectonic epochs, yet continue to divide time as though it were stable, measurable, and ours.
Working across painting, sound, lasers, and software processes, Healy creates iterative works informed by geology, technology, and her non-linear experience of temporality. Her paintings produce instability rather than precision: layers misalign, edges blur, and no fixed viewpoint holds. Ambient sound extends these perceptual shifts through resonance and divergence.
Time unfolds as frequencies: tectonic pulses against nanoseconds, atomised pigment against calibrated systems. Healy’s work invites viewers to experience the instability of perception and the limits of knowing.
She holds an MSc in Creativity & Adv. (TUD) and a BA (Hons) in Fine Art (NCAD). Exhibiting (inter)nationally, with work held in public & private collections.
