States of Change
My work explores inner tension shaped by personal experience and external change. I focus on how emotional states form, shift, and take visual shape. By translating these states into color and metal, I aim to create works that invite reflection and establish an immediate emotional connection.
Recent years — shaped by motherhood, migration, and the restructuring of daily life — have become central to my practice. I draw inspiration from how people respond to change — their emotional shifts and the ways they adapt. I also look to natural and architectural forms that influence my sense of rhythm, proportion, and color.
Metal and color are at the core of my process. Bright, saturated hues allow me to convey emotional intensity directly. Vitreous enamel, with its depth and permanence, has become essential to my work. The contrast between metal and enamel — strength and fragility, solidity and translucency — mirrors the emotional contrasts I explore. I also work with color‑driven techniques such as aluminum anodizing, which opens new expressive possibilities and allows for larger, more sculptural forms.
