Project X: FoodCloud Connect is a speculative community skills directory I developed with FoodCloud to support connection and learning across Ireland’s surplus food network. The project responds to how valuable knowledge often exists in isolation, scattered between individuals and organisations. FoodCloud Connect brings this expertise into view through a shared digital space where volunteers, staff and partners can collaborate, share knowledge and support one another. By making latent capacity visible, the service helps create constellations of collaboration, mobilising people, resources and knowledge to strengthen community-led food systems and enable more resilient and connected communities.

Project Y: Remote Testimony Hub is a trauma-informed service concept designed to support vulnerable witnesses within the Irish criminal justice system. The project responds to research showing that many witnesses experience significant anxiety about attending court, particularly the fear of encountering the accused and navigating unfamiliar legal processes.

The concept combines two connected elements: a Remote Testimony Hub and a digital Witness Preparation Toolkit. The hub provides a calm, discreet environment where witnesses can give evidence remotely via video link, while the toolkit offers short preparation videos and accessible guidance explaining what to expect throughout the process.

The project was informed by interviews, user testing, service mapping, trauma-informed design principles, and international precedents including Canadian remote testimony models and current Irish pilot initiatives.

By reducing uncertainty and improving preparation, the concept aims to create a safer and more supportive witness experience while improving consistency, participation, and coordination across the justice system.
