Forbidden Love
I got my inspiration from "The Meeting at the Turret Stairs" by Frederic W. Burton (1864). The first time I saw it, I was transported in time and space; the blue and the softness of Hillelil's dress enveloped me. The endless love of Hildebrand's last kiss reflected the emotions of an eternal goodbye.
My pieces are a brooch that evoke Hillendrand's hands keeping that moment forever, and a locket that reminds Hellelil of the last meeting with her endless love. The collection aims to translate the emotions evoked by the painting, conveying a moment suspended in time in which delicacy, elegance, and sentiments are transformed into jewellery pieces.
This collection is not a literal representation of the painting, but an emotional one.
