A Drunk Girl’s Odyessy
How fast can you run when your life depends on it? What about when your mind plays tricks and you can no longer differentiate between fact and fiction?
‘A Drunk Girl’s Odyssey’ is a short multimedia film. It follows a young woman, Sophia, on her way home after a night out. She encounters strange occurrences, leaving us contemplating whether it is real or simply the effects of alcohol. With live-action and a range of animation styles, we gain a sense of unease that perhaps we can relate to when we walk home alone in the dark.
Amalia Kakouli-Duarte is a multidisciplinary designer. Her focus is incorporating physical making into digital making. Since coming to NCAD she found her passion in Moving Image Design, developing her skills over the last four years. Amalia has a fascination with psychology and how the mind interprets the work.
