‘Conceptual Development and Material Play in the Design Process’ panel discussion with graduating students from across Fashion, Textiles & Surface Design, and Jewellery & Object Design, moderated by designer and NCAD Design for Body and the Environment (DBE) lecturer Hugh Finnerty.
.
Join Hugh Finnerty and graduating students from across Fashion, Textiles & Surface Design, and Jewellery & Object Design for an engaging discussion on conceptual development throughout their time at NCAD, and how their experiences within Studio+, NCAD's innovative additional work & study programme, contributed to and supported aspects of their final bodies of work. Exploring experimentation, materiality, and process, the panel will reflect on how collaborative learning environments encouraged playfulness, hands-on making, skill development, failing as progress, and new approaches to building creative visions across disciplines.
