This event begins with a panel discussion chaired by artist Barry Gibbons, with Dr. Francis Halsall and artist Vanessa Jones as invited speakers, followed by a guided tour of selected works in the painting studios. Focusing on works by Flavia Caponera, Aimee Eiffe, Bianca Gegea, Kitty Leadley, and Iseult Ní Bhraonáin, the event explores how painting is being extended through digital processes, material translation, and expanded forms of image making. Through discussion and direct encounter with the works, the event considers how painting operates across surface, screen, object, and installation, and how images move between physical and digital space.
